Do we have to replace our current systems?
No. We work with the TOS, planning tools and files your operation already runs. The point of an engagement is to make what you have work better — rip-and-replace is a last resort, not a starting position.
How do you charge?
Per engagement, scoped and agreed before we start. You'll know what it covers, who is doing the work and what it costs up front. Short specialist input and longer-running delivery are priced differently — tell us the problem and the proposal will tell you the number.
Who actually does the work?
The consultants named on this page. 1 Sphere is an association of senior specialists — the person you meet is the person who does the work, individually or as a small team alongside your own staff. No handoff to juniors.
Where do you work?
We're based in the United Kingdom and work with terminals, ports and lines worldwide — on site where it matters, remotely where it's efficient.
How do you handle confidentiality?
As a habit, not a policy. Our consultants spent years in senior roles in fiercely competitive settings; NDAs are standard, and client material never informs work for anyone else.
What's the status of the software?
Vessel Studio is our validated vessel-data interchange product — talk to us about the formats your operation exchanges. Terminal Studio is in active development, already exercised against real terminal layouts, and we're taking interest from early users. Both grew out of live consultancy engagements.
